The eight-time Grammy Award-winning singer, songwriter and producer Stephen Marley will perform for one night only as part of the “Babylon by Bus Summer Tour” on Saturday, July 29, at The Clubhouse in East Hampton.

This tour just kicked off in San Diego, and is traversing California before reaching Colorado, Salt Lake City, Las Vegas, Chicago, Cape Cod, Brooklyn, and more, culminating in a finale in Florida come August with a curated lineup of hand-picked support artists, including Fortunate Youth, Skip Marley, Jesse Royal, Hirie, Arise Roots, and Roots of Creation.

New York-based producers Murmrr, MRR Productions and The Clubhouse, have teamed up to produce the event. The “Babylon by Bus Summer Tour” will feature a mixture of original songs from Marley’s renowned 45-year career, as well as revitalized classics from his father, Bob Marley’s, iconic catalog.

With a rich musical lineage as the son of reggae legends Bob Marley and Rita Marley, Stephen embarked on his professional singing career at the tender age of 6, touring the world alongside his elder siblings Ziggy, Sharon and Cedella as part of The Melody Makers. His illustrious career has solidified his place in music history, boasting eight Grammy Awards including three with The Melody Makers, two as a producer of his younger brother Damian Marley, and three as a solo artist.

In 2008, Marley’s solo debut album, “Mind Control,” took the music scene by storm and garnered him the prestigious Grammy Award for Best Reggae Album. He continued to captivate hearts with albums like “Mind Control Acoustic,” “Revelation Part I: The Root of Life,” and “Revelation Part II: The Fruit of Life,” and Stephen’s collaboration with his brother Damian “Jr. Gong” Marley on the cross-genre hit “Welcome to Jamrock” further solidified his status as a revered producer.

He has shared the stage and collaborated with his legendary musical family as well as Lauryn Hill, Nas and Erykah Badu. Each of his solo projects has topped the Billboard Reggae charts and his newest single “Old Soul,” the first work off his new studio project in five years, dropped on his birthday, April 20, this year. Marley recently debuted a brand new video for “Old Soul.” The retrospective video reveals never-before-seen old family photos, vintage vinyl album covers, and a collage of Jamaican music history, and it is available now on Stephen Marley’s Official YouTube Channel. The award-winning singer, songwriter, and producer chronicles his growth and innocence as a Marley kid, the second son of Bob Marley, and his personal rites of passage through the family legacy. The warm acoustic track takes the listener on a coming-of-age journey through allusions to personal legends and eras of musical influences that “made it all possible.”

One dollar of every ticket sold for the concert at The Clubhouse will benefit the mission of Ghetto Youths Foundation (GYF) to provide aid and assistance, support and critical resources to people in need across the globe. Purchase tickets to Stephen Marley at murmrr.com. The Clubhouse is at 174 Daniels Hole Road, East Hampton. For more information, visit clubhousehamptons.com.
