Steve Boone of The Kingsmen and The Lovin’ Spoonful was inducted into the Westhampton Beach High School Wall of Fame last week. The bassist and former Press newspaper delivery person was honored during a ceremony at the school on Friday, September 14.

Mr. Boone, a 1961 graduate of Westhampton Beach High School, was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2000. The Kingsmen were best known for the hit song “Louie, Louie.” The Lovin’ Spoonful’s biggest hits were “Do You Believe in Magic” and “Summer in the City.”
