The Leiber Collection will present a one-of-a-kind performance event celebrating the vibrant artistry of Gerson Leiber on Saturday, August 23, from 4 to 6 p.m. Artist and puppeteer Kim Profaci will debut her new work, “Runway,” transforming Leiber’s dazzling paintings and drawings into a dynamic marionette performance.

In “Runway,” exquisitely handcrafted marionettes will strut the stage in detailed recreations of 1970s and 1980s fashion, bringing Leiber’s two-dimensional works to life through movement, character and visual storytelling. The performance pays tribute to Leiber’s creative legacy and the bold glamour of the era he so vividly captured.

“‘Runway’ is a celebration of the intersection of art, fashion and performance,” Profaci said. “Each marionette embodies the vitality and elegance that Gerson Leiber captured so beautifully in his work.”

The immersive performance will be held at The Leiber Collection, a museum dedicated to preserving and showcasing the legacies of Judith and Gerson Leiber. Guests will experience a unique evening that merges visual art and performance in an imaginative and elegant setting.

Admission is $35. Tickets can be reserved at eventbrite.com. The performance will take place at The Leiber Collection, located at 446 Old Stone Highway in East Hampton. For more information, visit leibermuseum.org.
