Django Reinhardt’s legendary strings still echo through time, and the Django AllStars bring his “hot jazz” spirit straight to the stage. From influencing guitar legends like Carlos Santana, Eric Clapton and even Jimi Hendrix (who named his “big band of gypsies” in tribute), Reinhardt’s signature gypsy jazz blends wild virtuosity with romantic Parisian flair. Picture the cafés of 1920s and 1930s Paris — lovers, campfires, café au lait, and a great glass of wine — all wrapped up in scintillating strings and irresistible rhythms.
The Django Festival Allstars bring this music to “today” ... combining known standards and original music in a masterful mix that lights up concert halls and festivals across the country.
