The fifth edition of SummerFest, Southampton Arts Center’s premier fundraising event, will return this year to the arts center grounds on Thursday, August 30.

The culinary arts festival will feature a night of dancing alongside signature dishes provided by some of the most celebrated chefs and restaurants on the East End. Participating restaurants and chefs include Boa Thai Asian Fusion, Catena’s Market, Citarella, Clamman Seafood Market, EMP Summer House, Hampton Coffee Company, Hamptons Farms Social Eatery, Janet O’Brien Caterers, Juice Press, Kalamazoo Pizza by Plesser’s Luxury Appliances, Le Charlot, Little Red, Maison Vivienne, Red Bar, Saaz, Sant Ambroeus, Seasons of Southampton, Sip ‘n Soda, The Fudge Company, Topping Rose House and Union Cantina.

The annual event raises nearly half a million dollars to support the many exhibitions and programs offered by the Southampton Arts Center, many of which are free to the community year-round.

The 2018 Champion of the Arts Award will be given to Peter Marino, a New York City architect who announced in late July that he will purchase the former Rogers Memorial Library building in Southampton Village and open a museum there.

“We are pleased to honor our partner and newest neighbor, celebrated architect and art collector Peter Marino,” Southampton Arts Center Executive Director Tom Dunn said. “We can think of no other person as dedicated to and passionate about both the arts and the Village of Southampton as Peter.”

The night will also feature live painting by contemporary artist Domingo Zapata, and the painting will be auctioned off later in the evening.

Event chairpersons include Simone and David Levinson, Katharina Otto-Bernstein and Nathan Bernstein, and Alex Roepers.

SummerFest will take place Thursday, August 30, from 6 to 10 p.m. at the Southampton Arts Center located on 25 Jobs Lane in Southampton Village. Tickets start at $500, and VIP tables start at $10,000. Tickets can be reserved online at southamptonartscenter.org, by calling 631-283-0967 or emailing mbishop@southamptonartscenter.org.
