The LongHouse Reserve’s Planters: On + Off the Ground VIII was held on Saturday, June 25, at LongHouse Reserve in East Hampton. Martha Stewart, the judge for the first-ever Planters invitational, returned as judge and for ribbon presentations this year for the 25th Jubilee Celebration event. The invitational garden container exhibit will remain on view through July 30.
First place honors went to Summerhill Landscapes of Sag Harbor for their “A Piece of the Universe” installation. Landcraft Environments ltd of Mattituck earned second place, with Michael Derrig’s Landscape Details of Sag Harbor taking third place. Honorable mentions went to Kathleen Marder of Marder’s in Bridgehampton, and Justin Terzi Design of Sag Harbor.
