In conjunction with “RE:CYCLE — The Ubiquitous Bike,” On Saturday, October 21, from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. cyclists Jerry Brown and Lois Peltz will lead a bike ride around Shelter Island at a leisurely pace of 10 mph. Participants will meet at The Church’s parking lot and proceed to Route 114 toward the South Ferry. The group will board the ferry to Shelter Island, exploring the southwest section of the island through Sunset Beach, Nostrand Parkway, Brander Parkway, and Shell Beach. Afterward, the group will return to the South Ferry via West Neck Road. Once back in Sag Harbor, the trip will conclude at The Church for light refreshments and beverages and an optional exhibition tour.

This ride is meant for experienced bikers only— each participant must sign a release of liability waiver before the ride. Participants must wear helmets and ensure their bikes are in good working order.

Brown and Peltz have over 30 years of experience giving group bike rides to the East Hampton Trails Preservation Society — with routes spanning the East End — and have donated their time to take The Church community out for the two-and-a-half hour ride around Shelter Island.

Tickets are $32 (which includes round-trip ferry fee) and extremely limited. Reserve at thechurchsagharbor.org.
