The Hamptons Festival of Music will host its first annual benefit, “Tasting Notes,” on Saturday, August 16, from 5 to 7 p.m. at St. Luke Episcopal Church’s Hoie Hall in East Hampton.

The immersive fundraising event blends live chamber music, fine wines and gourmet hors d’oeuvres. Proceeds will support TH·FM’s MainStage Concert Series in September featuring The New American Sinfonietta in concerts on September 6, 11 and 14.

The music for “Tasting Notes” will be brought to life by guest artists violinist Annie Chalex-Boyle and pianist David Palmer. Chalex-Boyle, known for her expressive depth and technical brilliance, shares a long-standing artistic history with TH·FM Artistic Director Michael Palmer, most recently seen in a performance at LongHouse Reserve. David Palmer, celebrated pianist and founder of Chamber Music Amarillo, will perform the evening’s intricate piano parts.

The evening’s program includes Kreisler’s “Praeludium and Allegro,” de Falla’s “Suite Populaire Espagnole,” the first movement of Beethoven’s “Kreutzer Sonata” and Ravel’s “Tzigane,” with a surprise musical “aperitif” planned as an encore. In addition, a five-pour tasting will be curated and led by Lisa Schock, certified master sommelier of Park Place Wines & Liquors, with each wine selected to mirror the emotional character of the music performed. Three plated hors d’oeuvres, prepared onsite by Moby’s, will also be served.

Guests can further support the festival by entering raffles for Signature Experiences, including VIP rehearsal access and private dinners with festival artists.

Tickets for “Tasting Notes” are $250 at thehamptonsfestivalofmusic.com. Hoie Hall is located at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, 18 James Lane, East Hampton Village.
