Ross School ninth grader Maya Teixeira won the Southampton Town Youth Bureau’s Sixth Annual Hamptons Got Talent competition, which was held on Saturday, April 6 in the Hampton Bays High School auditorium. Maya sang “She Used to Be Mine” from “Waitress: The Musical” and “One and Only” by Adele. Southampton Intermediate School sixth grader Emma Suhr placed second in the competition with her performance of “Requiem” from “Dear Evan Hansen” and “Alex Predator” from “Mean Girls.” Road Trip Band, featuring Nick Corredor, Joshua Pasca, Andre Bianchi — all from Hampton Bays High School — and Jacob Nitti, from Riverhead High School, placed third with their renditions of “Kid Charlemange” by Steely Dan and “She’s Not There” by the Zombie. Sisters Jaeda and Akasha Grant, from the Bridgehampton School, took home the People’s Choice Award for their performance of “All I Want” by Kodaline.
