The 58th Annual Springs Invitational took place August 1 to 10 at historic Ashawagh Hall, once again celebrating the creative spirit of the East End while supporting the Springs Improvement Society (SIS). Established in 1968, the invitational remains one of the most anticipated cultural events in the Hamptons, uniting artists, collectors and the local community.

This year’s guest curator was Donna Corvi, a lifelong artist and director of the Depot Art Gallery in Montauk who also leads the Montauk Artists Association. Her curatorial vision brought together a wide-ranging and vibrant exhibition featuring 75 artists whose works reflect the depth and diversity of the local art scene.

The artwork selected for the official exhibition poster was “Toxic Garden 13 (Lathyrus)” by Roy Nicholson. The piece served as the visual signature for this year’s show; autographed posters are available for purchase through the event website along with beautifully produced collector catalogs. Proceeds support the Springs Improvement Society and help preserve Ashawagh Hall as a community art space.

Participating artists in this year’s invitational included: A.G. Duggan, Aimee Lusty, Alex Ferrone, Amy Pollack, Andrèa Sher, Anne Seelbach, Aurelio Torres, Beth Barry, Bob Wilson, Bob Sullivan, Carl Scorza, Carol Mohlenhoff, Carol Young, Carol Hunt, Charlene Ortiz, Chris Lucore, Christopher Engel, Dan Welden, David Slater, David Bunn Martine, Dennis Leri, Dominic Cantasano, Donna Corvi, Doug Reina, Edward Joseph, Elisca Jeansonne, Elizabeth Geissler, Eric Dever, Erwin List Sanchez, Gerry Giliberti, Geralyne Lewandowski, Haim Mizrahi, Hans Van de Bovenkamp, James DeMartis, James Slezak, Jennifer Cross, Jeremy Dennis, Joanna Steidle, Joel Perlman, John Jinks, Joyce Kubat, Karen L. Kirshner, Karyn Mannix, Katrina del Mar, Kenna Mackay, Kerry Sharkey-Miller, Laurie Hall, Lieve Thiers, Linda K.
