Knowledge Friday returns to The Church at 6 p.m. on April 5 with Steve Bechard and Tim Regan. Bechard, a world-class angler, and Regan, an accomplished ocean videographer, will offer a visual foray into the art of fly fishing in the waters of the East End. Together, they will reel in the audience’s attention and discuss the catches that have changed them the most, both on the line and through the lens.

An accomplished angler, Bechard has put his fly fishing skills to the test, competing in several ESPN Great Outdoor Games. He has used his knowledge and skills to teach others. A guide and a teacher, he is also the president and co-founder of Rise Fishing Co. which brings quality rods to skilled and novice anglers alike.

New York waterman Tim Regan is a guide for Rise Fishing Co. and is a certified drone pilot and ocean videographer. Field editor for “On the Water” magazine, Bechard, a renowned photographer specializing in nautical landscapes, presents stunning shots of life in the water. From schools of fish to the majesty of whales breaching, his work is an examination of the artistry of the natural world.

Knowledge Fridays, held the first Friday of each month, highlight outstanding East End locals with various backgrounds and careers. The program allows the audience to meet and learn about dynamic, inspiring, and fascinating East Enders. It is a monthly program open to the public and free to our members.

Tickets for Knowledge Friday are $10 (members free with RSVP) at thechurchsagharbor.org. The Church is at 48 Madison Street in Sag Harbor.
