The Gardiner Mill Cottage Gallery Museum in East Hampton opens a new exhibition, “Rodman Pell (1909-1995) Historic Folk-Lore Artist of Long Island,” on Friday, May 20.

Pell descended from a family who founded Pelham, New York. For about 30 years, he had an art studio in Greenport where he established a reputation as an important historic folklore artist and became recognized as the Grandpa Moses of Greenport.

The exhibition runs through Monday, June 6. Gardiner Mill Cottage Gallery will be hosting a “Spring Open House” on Saturday, May 28, from 1 to 5 p.m. Food and beverages will be served and the public is welcome to attend. The Gardiner Mill Cottage Gallery is located at 36 James Lane, East Hampton. LTV Studios will present “Sea Through River,” an exhibition curated by Haim Mizrahi, on display now through November 30.
