Josh Pais, actor, teacher and creator of Committed Impulse, will be at The Church on Tuesday August 26, for a “radically liberating, laugh-out-loud, full-body journey” into what he calls “Creative Invincibility” — a state where fear, self-doubt, or overthinking can’t hold anyone back.

Under Pais’s guidance, participants will move, breathe and play as they shake off the layers of resistance. The movement portion can be as vigorous or passive as participants choose. Anyone at any age, in any physical body, can take part as long as they’re open to feeling fully alive.

Raised by a physicist father who worked with Einstein and a mother who was a painter and poet, Pais cracked the code on accessing true presence — and has helped thousands of artists, entrepreneurs, speakers and performers reclaim their edge.

With “Creative Invincibility,” participants will be able to do their best, most inspired work — no matter what their mind is saying or how insecure, nervous or anxious they might feel in the moment. It’s a practice that helps connect more deeply with themselves, their audience and their creative power.

Participants should wear comfortable clothing to move in, bring water, and be ready to laugh, feel and wake up new parts of themselves.

Josh Pais’s “Creative Invincibility” workshop is on Tuesday, August 26, from 7 to 9:30 p.m. at The Church, 48 Madison Street, Sag Harbor. Tickets are $95. For more information and to purchase tickets, visit thechurchsagharbor.org.
