Do you enjoy digging deeper into the world of art? The Church invites art lovers to join “Talking About Art: 10 Photographs” with British photographer Ben Hassett and The Church’s Executive Director, Sheri Pasquarella, on Saturday, December 6, at 4 p.m.

During this interactive program, Hassett and Pasquarella will each present five photographs — revealed as the event unfolds — and engage in a spontaneous conversation exploring the history, context, and ideas behind the images. Audience members are encouraged to join the discussion in a fun and approachable dialogue, whether you’re new to art criticism or a seasoned aficionado.

The program is part of “Here & There: The First Churchennial,” with work by artists-in-residence from 2021 through 2024.

Hassett examines recurring themes in photography, including portraits, still lifes, nudes, landscapes and floral studies, while also working commercially as a photographer and film director. Pasquarella brings decades of expertise in contemporary art, including running her own consultancy, hosting the weekly program SLP The Class, co-founding the New Art Dealers Alliance (NADA) and teaching at top institutions.

Tickets are $10 ($5 members) at thechurchsagharbor.org. The Church is at 48 Madison Street, Sag Harbor.
