On Saturday, August 16, Guild Hall will present “The Fitzgeralds: A Reading With Music,” a performance commemorating the centennial of F. Scott Fitzgerald’s classic novel “The Great Gatsby.”
The event, running from 8 to 9:30 p.m., explores the complex relationship between F. Scott and Zelda Fitzgerald through their personal correspondence. The letters reveal a partnership marked by ambition, artistry, and emotional depth that inspired some of the most iconic literature of the 20th century.
Directed by Stephen Hamilton, the reading features acclaimed actors Melissa Errico and Alec Baldwin. Composer and performer Forrest Gray provides an original live score that enhances the intimate storytelling.
Originally devised by Steve Lawson, “The Fitzgeralds” blends literature, music, and performance to offer a reflective tribute to the lives behind the prose.
Tickets range from $25 to $110 and are available at guildhall.org.
