Following the success of its inaugural season in fall 2022, The Hamptons Festival of Music (TH·FM) returns in September for a full season of orchestral concerts at LTV Studios in Wainscott featuring The New American Sinfonietta, a 41-member orchestra comprised of top level musicians and principal players with major North American orchestras. Internationally renowned classical guitarist, Pepe Romero, also returns this year as TH·FM’s guest artist.

The 2023 festival will present concerts on Sunday, September 3; Friday, September 8; and Sunday, September 10. The concerts will be performed by the New American Sinfonietta under direction of conductor and music director Michael Palmer, founder of The Hamptons Festival of Music.

The festival kicks off on Sunday, September 3, with a 4 p.m. concert featuring Haydn’s “Overture to La Fedeltà Premiata,” the world premiere of David Leisner’s “Wayfaring” with guest performer, guitarist Pepe Romero, Wagner’s “Siegfried Idyll” and Mendelssohn’s “Symphony No. 4 in A Major” (Italian).

The Friday, September 8 concert, at 8 p.m. will present Bizet’s “Jeux d’enfants” (suite), Copland’s “Appalachian Spring” (original version), and Mozart’s “Symphony No. 41 in C Major ‘Jupiter’”.

The Sunday, September 10 concert, at 4 p.m. will include Dvorak’s “Serenade for Winds” and Beethoven’s “Symphony No. 3 in E-flat major ‘Eroica.’”

All concert performances will be at LTV Studio 3, 75 Industrial Road, Wainscott. Tickets are $150 per concert or $400 for the complete three concert festival series. For tickets and other details on how to support TH·FM, visit thehamptonsfestivalofmusic.com.
