The Hamptons Festival of Music (TH·FM) has announced its 2025 season, featuring a dynamic mix of virtual exploration, live orchestral performance, and immersive benefit events that celebrate chamber music in imaginative and intimate settings across the East End.
New for 2025: “Tasting Notes” Benefit Blends Music and Wine
A centerpiece of the 2025 season is “Tasting Notes,” a new benefit experience on Saturday, August 16, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Hoie Hall at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, 18 James Lane, East Hampton. This immersive “concert in the round” pairs live chamber music with curated regional wine selections by Park Place sommelier Lisa Schock, alongside local fare provided by Moby’s East Hampton. Guests will be seated at candlelit tables throughout the space, surrounding the performers.
Violinist Annie Chalex-Boyle and pianist David Palmer will perform a program designed to complement the tasting experience, featuring Fritz Kreisler’s “Praeludium and Allegro,” Manuel de Falla’s “Suite Populaire Espagnole,” the first movement of Beethoven’s “Kreutzer” Sonata, and Ravel’s “Tzigane.” The performance will close with a surprise encore, described as a musical “aperitif.”
The evening will also include premium wine raffles, tasting experiences, and exclusive TH·FM packages available for purchase, such as “Juan’s Mole Dinner” and “Cocktails With the Conductor.” Proceeds support the festival’s artistic and educational initiatives. Seating is very limited.
Hamptons Music Club: Virtual Conversations With the Score
The Hamptons Music Club returns with a four-part virtual series hosted by associate conductor Logan Souther and assistant conductor Eli Zelman. Each session offers audiences an intimate look at the creative process and historical context behind the season’s repertoire. The series began Sunday, July 20, with works by Prokofiev, Barber and Mozart. On Sunday, August 3, the program turns to Stravinsky, Mozart and Tchaikovsky. The Sunday, August 17 session will focus on Cimarosa, Berlioz and Beethoven. The final session, on Sunday, August 31, is dedicated entirely to a deep dive into Beethoven’s Symphony No. 4. All sessions begin at 4 p.m. Eastern and are offered on a “contribute-as-you-are-able” basis with RSVP available online.
