The Montauk Music Festival (MMF), a four-day musical celebration featuring talented up-and-coming independent artists, is back for 2022 and will run Thursday, May 19, through Sunday, May 22, at venues throughout the hamlet.

The 11th annual festival kicks off with an opening night party on Thursday, May 19, at 6:30 p.m. at Westlake Fish House. The event is $60 and includes an evening of music, appetizers, cocktails and dancing with 10 of the festival bands performing a sneak preview of their weekend shows.

The free music festival begins on Friday, May 20, at 9 a.m. and continues all weekend long at locations throughout Montauk, including Montauk Point Lighthouse, restaurants, hotels and other local businesses.

Set against the backdrop of one of the most idyllic beach communities on the East Coast, the MMF will feature more than 400 artists boasting a wide variety of musical styles — from alternative, rock, folk, pop, Americana, reggae, blues, jazz, bluegrass, to flamenco, hip-hop, country and more.
