The lessons, traits and practices that underpin a successful real estate investing strategy are the same as those for a successful life strategy.

In the book “I Can, I Will, I Must — Buying the Hamptons, Building a Successful Future, Becoming the Best You Can Be,” New York real estate investor, attorney, and Hamptons broker Alan Schnurman shares his story, revealing the lessons, traits and practices of a smart real estate investor and a richer person at every level. The book was co-written by Eric Feil, Dan's Hamptons Media chief operating officer.

On Sunday, September 15, from 2 to 3:30 p.m., Schnurman and Feil speak about the book at East Hampton Library, 159 Main Street, East Hampton. Books will be available for purchase and signing.

Schnurman’s book shares the story of his ascent from a poor childhood in Brooklyn to accomplished New York attorney, national TV and internet content pioneer, renowned investor, Hamptons real estate broker, marathon runner and Mount Everest explorer.

To illustrate his meteoric rise, in one chapter, Schnurman recounts working nights as a New York cabbie to put himself through law school when he picked up broadcast journalist Walter Cronkite. Years later, the two met in the elevator of the Manhattan luxury apartment building where they both eventually lived.

During the talk, Schnurman will provide expert tips for investing in real estate and life, and Feil will share his approach to writing the biography and motivational guide.
