Suffolk Theater is bringing back Louis Prima Jr. and The Witnesses on Friday, September 22, for an 8 p.m. show.

Son of legendary entertainer Louis Prima, Louis Prima Jr. is a Las Vegas-based entertainer, singer, songwriter and musician who bridges the gap between the swing and rock eras. He is known for his energetic and over-the-top performances with his boisterous New Orleans-style band, The Witnesses. Crossing several genres, Louis Prima Jr. and The Witnesses perform original music as well as Prima classics.

Louis Prima Jr. and the Witnesses bring Prima music fully into the 21st century. Building off the success of their critically acclaimed debut CD, “Return of the Wildest!”, the band has injected many years of diverse musical tastes into their latest offering, BLOW — a collection of original music as eclectic and unique as each member of this powerhouse band. From the first thunderous stomps of the title track, it is evident that this ain’t your daddy’s swing music, but a raucous roller coaster ride of tail-shakin’, foot-stampin’, horn-driven smiles.

Tickets are $49 to $69 at TheSuffolk.org. Suffolk Theater is at 118 East Main Street, Riverhead.
