The Suffolk welcomes back “The Machine Performs Pink Floyd” on Friday, October 3, at 8 p.m.

The Machine has built a more than 30-year reputation for extending the musical legacy of Pink Floyd. The New York-based quartet delivers faithful renditions of the band’s expansive 16-album catalog, from iconic hits to lesser-known gems.

Known for stellar musicianship and passionate performance, The Machine blends improvisation reminiscent of early 1970s Floyd with theatrical stage elements and lighting design inspired by the band’s later tours.

The band has sold out theaters, showcase venues and casinos across North America, Europe and Asia, and has performed at major music festivals including Bonnaroo, Riverbend and Gathering of the Vibes. They have also played alongside full symphony orchestras, including the Atlanta, Detroit, Pittsburgh, Jacksonville, Charlotte and San Diego Symphonies, as well as the Buffalo Philharmonic.

The Machine features founding member Tahrah Cohen on drums, along with longtime bandmates Scott Chasolen (keys, vocals) and Ryan Ball (guitar, vocals), and newest member Chris DeAngelis (bass, lead vocals). The group continues to celebrate the music of Pink Floyd while honoring the life and legacy of co-founder Joe Pascarell.

The band is known for recreating entire albums live, taking fan requests, and occasionally performing an A-to-Z set — playing one song for every letter of the alphabet.

Tickets are $45 to $85 at thesuffolk.org. The Suffolk is located at 118 East Main Street, Riverhead.
