Get ready for an unforgettable evening of music, community and philanthropy as The Hamptons Festival of Music (TH·FM) presents The Symphony of Generosity. This special benefit auction and concert performance supporting TH·FM on Sunday, August 18, at 5 p.m. will be held at historic Hoie Hall at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, 18 James Lane, East Hampton. It promises to be a highlight of the season, bringing together music lovers, philanthropists and the local community for a night dedicated to supporting the arts.
Guests will be treated to an evening of exceptional performances, community connections and an opportunity to participate in a silent auction featuring exclusive items and experiences. Every dollar raised will directly benefit The Hamptons Festival of Music, supporting its mission to bring world-class musical performances to the community and to provide educational programs for young, aspiring musicians.
The evening begins with wine and hors d’oeuvres served from 5 to 6 p.m. during the silent auction. Some of the available items include: an authentic Mexican “Mole Dinner with the Maestros,” prepared by Juan Ramirez (chef and TH·FM violinist); “Cocktails with the Composer,” featuring renowned composer and conductor Victoria Bond discussing her featured work “Bridges” performed this season; a private house concert featuring Kenn Wagner, violin (TH·FM’s principal second violin) and other exclusive festival events featuring members of The New American Sinfonietta, TH·FM’s resident orchestra; an exclusive, private dinner with TH·FM Artistic Director Maestro Michael Palmer and Logan Souther, Associate Conductor, TH·FM.
From 6 to 7 p.m. The Silver Bay Trio performs Mendelssohn’s famous Piano Trio No. 1 performed by winner of the XIV International Tchaikovsky Competition Eric Silberger, violin, and Elizabeth Anderson, cello, and Brandt Fredriksen, piano. Hear an original composition for piano trio, by New York composer William Weigel, who will be in attendance as well.
“We are thrilled to host The Symphony of Generosity and to have the support of our incredible community,” said Michael Yip, Executive Director of The Hamptons Festival of Music. “This event offers rare opportunities and experiences to really get to know the immense talent of our performers but also underscores the importance of fostering a vibrant cultural scene in East Hampton. We are deeply grateful for the generosity of our donors, whose support makes it all possible.”
The Hamptons Festival of Music (TH·FM) is the brainchild of Maestro Michael Palmer, who has established, maintained, and sustained the Bellingham Festival of Music, the premier orchestral music festival in the Pacific Northwest, for over 29 years. Following the success of its inaugural pilot and sophomore seasons, TH·FM returns for its third consecutive year.
Tickets for the Symphony of Generosity are $50 at thehamptonsfestivalofmusic.com. The Hamptons Festival of Music Main Stage orchestra concerts take place on September 6, 10 and 14 at LTV Studios in Wainscott.
