‘This Land Is Our Land’ Photo Exhibition

Photographers from the Tri-State area, including amateur and practicing photographers, are invited to submit applications to participate in the Art League of Long Island’s upcoming juried photo exhibition titled “This Land is Our Land.” The exhibition will run from January 11 through February 8, 2020, in the Art League’s Jeanie Tengelsen Gallery.

The deadline to submit applications is Friday, December 6.

The Art League asks photographers to submit images that illustrate what their America looks like. These images could be of iconic buildings, scenic landscapes, peopled events, family images, images that show a significant event or idea that is an important part of America.

The exhibition juror is Sandra Carrion, an instructor at Nassau Community College. She served as director of Soho Photo Gallery and is the creator of the popular International Krappy Kamera Competition and Exhibition held annually at Soho Photo in Manhattan.

The Art League of Long Island, located in Dix Hills, is a not-for-profit visual arts organization that offers classes and workshops for children and adults, from beginner to advanced levels. The Jeanie Tengelsen Gallery hosts a dozen exhibits per year, featuring contemporary works by many local artists.
