The East Hampton Library will host its 21st Annual Authors Night fundraiser on Saturday, August 9, at 5 p.m. in Herrick Park, East Hampton Village.

One of the most anticipated summer events, Authors Night features more than 100 authors across multiple genres and is recognized as the “Premier Literary Event of the Hamptons.” Over two decades, it has become one of the largest and most successful library-author events in the United States.

“As we celebrate the 21st anniversary of Authors Night, we’re excited to once again bring this beloved event to the heart of East Hampton Village,” said Dennis Fabiszak, director of the East Hampton Library. “The funds raised allow us to continue offering essential programs and services — completely free of charge — to our diverse community year-round.”

The evening begins at 5 p.m. with a cocktail reception under a grand tent at Herrick Park, where guests can mingle with authors, purchase books and have them personally signed. At 8 p.m., ticket holders at higher levels may attend exclusive Author Dinner Parties hosted at private homes in the area.

Participating authors include Neil deGrasse Tyson, Robert A. Caro, Christie Brinkley, James Frey, Kelly Bishop, Griffin Dunne, Maureen Dowd, Alex Guarnaschelli, Alafair Burke, Tia Williams, Molly Jong-Fast, Thomas Chatterton Williams, Julian Zelizer and many more.

Herrick Park is at 67 Newtown Lane, East Hampton Village. Dinner parties are held at private residences. The event is not held at the East Hampton Library. Reception-only tickets are $150. Dinner party tickets start at $500 and include access to the reception. Tickets are available online at authorsnight.org, at the East Hampton Library, 159 Main Street, East Hampton, or by phone at 631-324-0222.
