Are you looking for love? Why not make it literal by joining in the “Looking for Love Scavenger Hunt” hosted by the Southampton Inn and the Southampton History Museum?

The all ages scavenger hunt is Saturday, February 13, and all throughout Main Street in Southampton Village there will be red hearts that need to be sought out. Grab a friend or a partner and embark on a journey of love. The one-day hunt will begin at 11 a.m. at the Southampton Inn with a first prize and a gift for those who return a completed list.

The hunt is free but donations to the Southampton History Museum are encouraged. Reserve with Southampton Inn at 631-283-6500.

Continue the love on Sunday, February 14, by celebrating Valentine’s Day with the Southampton Trails Preservation Society and an adult hike through Emma Rose Elliston Park, 40 Millstone Brook Road in North Sea from 10 a.m. to noon. Dai Dayton will lead the 3-mile trek with views of Big Fresh Pond and Wolf Swamp. The hike will also include a visit to the historic cemetery that is part of this park and the telling of the story of Emma Rose Elliston, who was born on a whaling ship off Hawaii. All hikers will keep an appropriate social distance, and masks are required.

Donations to the Southampton Trails Preservation Society are encouraged. Reserve by calling Dai Dayton, 631-745-0689 or email daidayton@aol.com by Saturday, February 13, at noon.
