Local celebrity singer Samantha Cole will host a variety show on Friday, July 29 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Manna, 670 Montauk Highway in Water Mill. Ms. Cole is a voice coach and works with up to 40 students at a time to prepare them for future songwriting and singing careers. The variety show at Manna will feature five to six of Samantha’s top students performing live acoustic sets outside in the courtyard “under the stars.”

A Southampton native, at the age of 15, Ms. Cole began taking vocal lessons and landed a number of singing engagements in New York. Ms. Cole made some 30 appearances, including one performance on MTV's The Grind, and became a regular performer at Tatou in New York City. Through these appearances, she was discovered by Universal Music's Doug Morris and Daniel Glass, and promptly signed to Universal Records, recording Billboard hits, international acclaim and songwriter credits along the way. Ms. Cole has also modeled and has appeared in layouts for FHM and Loaded. She is reportedly working on her long awaited second album entitled “Superwoman,” on a new label, Alpha Omega Records. Ms. Cole has also dabbled in acting, appearing in an episode of HBO's “Sex and the City,” the WE network reality show, “Single In the Hamptons”, and the Damon Dash's 2003 film, “Death of a Dynasty.”
