LTV Studios and the East End Underground Live Concert Series hosts Steve Washington in “Heart of a Troubadour” on Saturday, September 28, at 7:30 p.m. Joining him will be drummer Dwayne “Cook” Broadnax, pianist Jane Hastay and bassist Peter Martin Weiss.

Washington has a romantic, hypnotic voice styled in the great tradition of Billy Eckstine, Johnny Hartman and Joe Williams. This unique blend of cabaret and jazz, with a bit of the blues stirred in for good measure, showcases tunes made famous by Nat King Cole, Tony Bennett, Sammy Davis, Jr., Johnny Mathis, Harry Belafonte, Burt Bacharach and more.

Washington enjoys meeting new audiences at home and beyond. His CD release, “Right to Love,” enjoyed a triumphant debut at New York City’s renowned cabaret the Metropolitan Room, resulting in multiple encore appearances internationally. Currently, he is the co-lead vocalist for Raggs & the AllStars (aka the SRO Orchestra) and continues to play notable venues including Blues Alley, the Carlyle Club, the Kennedy Center, the Atlas Theater, the Katzen Arts Center, the Chrysalis Amphitheater and more.

Tickets are $30 in advance, $35 at the door and VIP Café Seating is available for $65. For more information, and to purchase tickets, visit ltveh.org. LTV Studios is at 75 Industrial Road in Wainscott.
