On Wednesday, November 15, from noon to 2 p.m. join artist John Melillo at The Church in Sag Harbor for a painting workshop designed specifically for veterans and first responders. Melillo, a Vietnam Veteran, has found solace from PTSD through the act of painting and now wishes to share his story and experience with others suffering through trauma of their own.

During this two-hour workshop, Melillo will guide participants through the practice of painting, emphasizing the philosophy of moving from dark to light. With assistance from local artist and instructor Roisin Bateman, participants will have the opportunity to create a painting of their own. No prior experience is needed.

To reserve, contact workshop and residency manager Samuel Havens, samuel@thechurchsagharbor.org. The Church is at 48 Madison Street, Sag Harbor.
