The East Hampton Library will present a free online Zoom event featuring Helen A. Harrison, author of the “Art of Murder” mystery series, interviewed by author Carrie Doyle, on Friday, January 8, at 6 p.m. The presentation will include an interactive Q&A with participants.

Harrison’s mystery series includes three books — “An Exquisite Corpse,” “An Accidental Corpse” and “An Artful Corpse.” All three are set in the New York art world and include fictionalized mysteries involving famous 20th century artists Wifredo Lam, Jackson Pollock and Thomas Hart Benton.

In his review for the latest title in the series, “An Artful Corpse,” which will be published in March 2021, author Bob Colacello called the book, “A first-rate whodunnit set in the 1960s New York art world, a time and place Helen Harrison has recreated with a page-turning mix of history, gossip, and fun!”

Harrison is the director of the Pollock-Krasner House and Study Center in East Hampton, and is the former curator of the Parrish Art Museum in Southampton and Guild Hall Museum in East Hampton. An authority on 20th century American art, she is the author of several books, including “Hamptons Bohemia: Two Centuries of Artists and Writers on the Beach” with Constance Ayers Denne.

Doyle is a best-selling author whose most recent book is “Death on West End Road,” the latest installment of The Hamptons Murder Mystery Series, set at a fictional East Hampton inn. “The Murder Game,” her young adult thriller, will be released in April, followed by “It Takes Two to Mango,” the first book of her new Trouble In Paradise Series, which will debut in June.
