The Neo-Political Cowgirls is bringing “Zima!” a whimsical winter adventure, to of LongHouse Reserve. Created by Kate Mueth, artistic director of the Neo-Political Cowgirls, “Zima!” blends dance, theater, costume and set design, puppetry, music and visual art to invite visitors to experience LongHouse in a new way. The performance brings 13 actors together in 10 vignettes staged throughout the grounds of LongHouse Reserve.
Offered on Fridays and Saturdays from November 28 through January 3, guests arrive at 4:30 p.m., 5:30 p.m. or 6:30 p.m., then meander along the illuminated paths of the 16-acre grounds, guided by volunteers. The experience concludes with a makers craft fair featuring East End artisans selling handmade holiday gifts, including jewelry, sweaters and artwork.
