Police Expect Traffic Delays During Soldier Ride Between Amagansett and Sag Harbor

East Hampton Town Police expect traffic delays during the annual Soldier Ride of the Hamptons between Amagansett and Sag Harbor on Saturday, July 19. Soldier Ride starts at 9 a.m., when about 100 cyclists will depart from the American Legion in Amagansett. The riders will go through East Hampton Village to Sag Harbor, before returning to Amagansett. Police have not scheduled any road closures. However, police expect significant delays on Montauk Highway in Amagansett, Stephen Hands Path, Route 114 and roads leading into Sag Harbor. The East End Drug Task Force arrested seven men and a woman this week who the Suffolk County district attorney’s office says were operating a crack cocaine sales ring spread across Long Island and based at a house in Riverside.
