SAG HARBOR VILLAGE — Police were called to a Division Street parking lot outside of a store Saturday afternoon. The owner of the store had placed a boot on a vehicle parked in the lot because, the owner told police, the vehicle been parked there for over half an hour. The owner of the vehicle said he had gone into the store and done some business there, but then had gone to another store to get a bottle of water, returning to find his vehicle booted. WESTHAMPTON BEACH — Frank Magnone, 33, of Westhampton Beach was arrested on May 24 by Westhampton Beach Village Police and charged with fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon. Police said an officer was conducting a traffic stop for seatbelt violation when the driver, Magnone, opened his door to locate his cellphone. The officer observed a black expandable baton in the driver’s side door, police said. Magnone was arrested then released on uniform traffic tickets and a desk appearance ticket to appear in Westhampton Beach Justice Court on June 4.
