Alba Gonzalez of East Hampton died on April 5, of cancer, at her home surrounded by family. She was 54.
Born to Luis Hernan Gonzalez and Lubiola Valencia on June 7, 1954, in Colombia, she was a housewife.
In addition to her husband, William Gonzalez, she is survived by her mother; two daughters, Jennifer Gonzalez, 19, and Daniela Gonzalez, 14; four sisters, Sonia Cardenas of East Hampton, Maria Baron of Southampton and Stella Gonzalez and Aleyda Gonzalez, both of Colombia; three brothers, Jairo Gonzalez of East Hampton, and Alvaro Gonzalez and Juan Gonzalez, both of Colombia; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her father.
Visitation was held on April 6 at Yardley & Pino Funeral Home in East Hampton, followed by a funeral service at Most Holy Trinity Church in East Hampton.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the South Fork Breast Health Coalition would be appreciated by the family.
