Ann Korsak Bubka, a lifelong resident of Sag Harbor, died on May 18 at the Westhampton Care Center. She was 91.

Born February 17, 1917, to Ann and Joseph Korsak, she was a 1934 graduate of Pierson High School.

She and her husband of 68 years, Stanley Bubka, together ran the family business, Madison Market in Sag Harbor. She also worked for Sag Harbor Village during election season for many years.

According to the family, Mrs. Bubka was close to many of the residents of Sag Harbor and will be sadly missed.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons and their wives, Bob and Donna Bubka, and Tom and June Bubka, all of Sag Harbor; a daughter, Nancy and her husband Frank Josselyn, also of Sag Harbor; three granddaughters, Jennifer Bubka, Lane Bubka and Robin Helgerson; two grandsons, Robert Bubka and Todd Josselyn; a great-granddaughter, Mia Bella Zingarelli; a great-grandson, Jarrett Helgerson; two nieces, Katherine Egan and Gale Smith; and a nephew, Jimmy McAree. Mrs. Bubka was predeceased by a sister, Millie McAree.

Funeral services were held on May 22, at St. Andrew’s Church in Sag Harbor. Interment followed at St. Andrew’s Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Mrs. Bubka’s memory may be made to St. Andrew’s Roman Catholic Church, 122 Division Street, Sag Harbor, NY 11963.
