The 8,355-square-foot Sarah and Maurice Iudicone Aquatic Center at the newly renovated Montauk Playhouse is slated to open to the public on Wednesday, December 17.
As part of a preview, the new pool facilities will be open on select days – December 17 through December 20, December 26 and 27, and January 2 and 3 – in advance of a soft opening on January 7 and a regular opening on an undetermined date in February.
Operated by Imagine Swimming, the new facility includes both a 25-yard long, four-lane lap pool for swimming, instruction and training and a 32-by-33-foot shallow, warmer temperature pool for rehabilitation, aquatic therapy and instructional swim, which is intended for infants, toddlers and seniors.
Drop-in rates during the pool preview will run at $10 for lap swimming and $10, for adults, and $5, for children, for family swimming. East Hampton Town residents can pay $40 for a swimming lesson, while non-residents can pay $59 for the same.
On Wednesdays through Fridays, the pool will be up from 7 to 10 a.m. for morning lap swimming, from 12 to 2 p.m. for midday lap swimming, from 3 to 6 p.m. for family swimming and from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. for evening lap swimming.
Meanwhile, on Saturdays, lap swimming and lessons will happen from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., while lessons will continue on until 3 p.m. The facility will then be open to family swimming from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Registration is required to swim. To do so, go to Imagine Swimming’s online registration portal, which can be found at https://imagine.seawaysoft.com/parent_portal/accounts/sign_in.
