As 911 Answering Switch Nears in East Hampton, Feud Briefly Reignites

East Hampton Village dispatchers will not take the bulk of 911 calls originating in East Hampton Town come next year. Soon, Suffolk County plans to have the technology to distinguish between calls in the village and the town. Village calls will go straight to the village dispatch room.

East Hampton Town Police expect traffic delays during the annual Soldier Ride of the Hamptons between Amagansett and Sag Harbor on Saturday, July 19.
