Tickets have gone on sale for the East Hampton Library’s 20th annual Authors Night fundraiser, a popular event that this year will happen on August 10 under a tent in Herrick Park in East Hampton Village.

Money raised at Authors Night, which features around 100 authors who sign their books with proceeds benefiting the library, is allocated to the programming and services the library provides free of charge throughout the year.

Participating authors this year include a wealth of nationally and locally renowned names, among them Neil deGrasse Tyson, Robert A. Caro, Nelson DeMille, Joy Reid, Brian Stelter, Tom Clavin, Audrey Flack, Tony Caramanico, Paul Goldberger, Adam Nagourney, David Netto, Peter Brown, Will Hermes and Carl Safina.

The event will begin at 5 p.m., with an authors reception, at which guests can meet authors and buy their books, which authors personally inscribe. At 8 p.m., guests dine at dinner parties at private residences in honor of one or more guest authors.

Tickets for the authors reception only are $150, and start at $500 for the dinners, which includes entry to the authors reception. They are available at authorsnight.org, at the library, and by calling the library at 631-324-0222.
