The Amagansett Village Improvement Society will host an Ice Cream Social on Saturday, June 15, at the AVIS tennis courts located on Atlantic Avenue and Montauk Highway. Free ice cream treats will be served while the Job Potter Band plays music from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m.
The AVIS was founded more than 100 years ago with the mission to keep Amagansett beautiful and as a keeper of Amagansett history. The organization also cares for trees on Main Street, plants flower beds, including the recently renovated beds by the railroad station, and funds the trash cans. In addition, it maintains and operates the two tennis courts on Atlantic Avenue. Amagansett residents may join the tennis program by going to keepamagansettbeautiful.com.
To support the group, memorial plaques on trees and benches may be ordered through the society. For more information, visit keepamagansettbeautiful.com.
