Barbara Reynolds Elliott of Southampton and Palm Beach, Florida, died on August 31 in Southampton. She was born on December 4, 1933, in Riverdale, New York, to John J. Reynolds and Kathryn Downer Reynolds.
An accomplished interior designer, she was married to John J. Sughrue Jr. at St. Patrick’s Cathedral in New York. They lived in New York City for many years with their children, Babette, John, and Clifford, and spent summers in Southampton and East Hampton. She married Walter J. Elliott in 1986. She is survived by her husband and her children. The family has invited close friends to a service on Thursday, September 4, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Southampton Club.
