Robin Jahoda, who is now an Amagansett School Board member, claimed previously last year, at a June 13, 2023 meeting, speaking on behalf of teachers, that they were “lied to” by administration. Was she speaking as a parent or a teacher? Since she needed to mention that she works at East Hampton High School.
Later on, she claimed that “10 parents and 10 teachers” (can we now have names?) met at Amber Waves to discuss an emergency, and Seth Turner showed up to ask if he could help with anything. They asked him to leave.
At this meeting on June 13, 2023, School Board President Kristen Peterson told the public to ask Seth (Turner) and Maria (Dorr) if you are looking for information, but this was the response after telling the public no answers for teachers and parents were allowed to be given.
In March 2024, on a change.org petition to ascend Michael Rodgers to superintendent, Robin Jahoda posted: “Coach Rodgers has proven his professionalism, dedication, love of education, and sincerity through years of service to this community.”
A resignation of Kevin Warren from the School Board in late April led the way for two spots to be filled this year: Robin Jahoda by the ballot, and most votes would take over a term starting July 1, but was sworn in May 28 and be part of the Rodgers coronation immediately after being sworn in. As well, the subsequent meetings before the term began.
A year in the making: 10 teachers, 10 parents, and, we could speculate, a plan that has now come to fruition.
Still here.
