“Shellabration,” the annual ode to shellfish in the Village of Greenport, returns on December 2 and 3, from noon to 4 p.m. each day. Polar Bear Plunge at Coopers Is December 2

The popular Polar Bear Plunge to benefit Heart of the Hamptons will return to Coopers Beach on Saturday, December 9. The 2023 Plunge will mark the 20th anniversary of the event. Last year, over 800 people attended to take the plunge or cheer on participants as they jumped into the chilly water of the Atlantic Ocean to help support those in need. The Retreat’s Adopt-A-Family Program Seeking Donations

The Retreat’s Adopt-a-Family program is open and ready for donations for the 2023 holiday season. The program collects holiday gifts and gift cards for families in need. This year, it will run through December 15. The Retreat established Adopt-a-Family nearly 20 years ago when its employees in advocacy recognized a need in their clients. They collected and distributed one gift each for their clients’ children, serving about 20 families in total.
