Richard Loeschner, in the hearing of Maria Dorr [“Attorney Alleges Concerted Effort To Remove Amagansett Principal,” 27east.com, August 28], has now defended his actions by stating that if the police don’t pursue something in a matter of a school, it doesn’t mean the school is not going to move forward with some type of disciplinary action.
It is a very interesting detail. Loeschner also admitted, when questioned, that he did not look into where the gift card Dorr showed him came from. The card, like the envelope in question, was also red.
Did he look into where the alleged missing envelope came from? That answer was “no” as well.
If ever there was a case for a school’s consolidation. The continued actions of what is often referred to locally as the “country club” is now a novel. It’s being written.
Still here.

A note of thanks to the coward who stole the Harris/Walz signs in our neighborhood. This shameful violation really motivated me to get busy writing postcards, donating and canvassing for our Democrat candidates. It energized me more than ever to...

In a recent Instagram post, Congressman Nick LaLota claimed that he stands for “a safe and more affordable Suffolk.” He is trying to make the case that he is a moderate, common-sense Republican. His change of heart is hollow and...
If you walk down the memory lane of politics, in 2019, you will be reminded that Tommy John Schiavoni was a candidate for the New York State Senate seat held by moderate Republican Kenneth LaValle. Currently, the Southampton Town Democratic...
Christians, as a whole, make up perhaps the largest voting demographic in the U.S., but they don’t tend to vote as a united bloc and, in fact, are a source of great division in our politics over the issues of...
As a resident who cares deeply about our local environment, I am grateful for Congressman Nick LaLota’s leadership in protecting Suffolk County’s natural resources and addressing climate change. As co-chairs of the Long Island Sound Caucus, Congressman LaLota (R-NY) and...
