Phyllis Leora Rogers of Sagaponack died of natural causes on December 22 in South Jamesport. She was 75. She was born in Southampton Hospital on April 17, 1947 to (Avis) Juanita Shoemaker Rogers and Carroll Foster Rogers of Sagaponack. She was raised in Sagaponack, and attended the one room schoolhouse for grade school. After that, she attended East Hampton High School. She spent over 30 years in the Rise Life Services group home in South Jamesport. Sheila Hopson of East Hampton died on November 12 in Southampton. She was 67. A viewing will be held Saturday, November 19, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., with a home-going service at 1 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Bridgehampton. Interment to follow at Edgewood Cemetery. Kathleen M. Cole (Field) of Manorville, and formally of Wainscott, died October 3 on Quiogue. She was 74. A visitation will be held Sunday, October 9, from noon to 3 p.m., with a service at 3 p.m. at the Brockett Funeral Home in Southampton. Interment to follow on Monday, October 10, at Most Holy Trinity Cemetery in East Hampton. A full obituary will appear in a future edition.
