Donald P. King of Amagansett died at Southampton Hospital on June 21. The proprietor of the Marmador Luncheonette, he was 81.
Born September 11, 1927, in East Hampton to Selden Leroy King and Edna (née Bryant) King, he attended East Hampton High School.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 550.
He is survived by his wife, Judith (née Talmage) King of Amagansett; a son, David D. King of East Hampton; a daughter, Betsy J. Martin of Amagansett; a brother, Remington W. King; five grandchildren; and four nephews.
A funeral service was held on June 25 at the Amagansett Presbyterian Church, followed by interment at the Green River Cemetery.
