The East Hampton Fire Department was called to Cove Hollow Road, between Buell Lane Extension and the Long Island Rail Road trestle, after still-energized power lines were downed by falling branches on Monday. Since the wires were still energized, the department could only stand by and ensure that the fire did not spread until crews from PSEG Long Island could respond.
