East Hampton Store Sells $1 Million Winning Mega Millions Lottery Ticket

One lucky person won a $1 million second-place prize in the Mega Millions drawing Tuesday night, December 17. The ticket, with the winning numbers 22, 30, 53, 55 and 56, was sold at the Stop & Shop in East Hampton on Newtown Lane. The winner has not yet filed a claim, and so cannot yet be identified, a spokesman for the New York Gaming Commission said Wednesday morning. The 2019 East Hampton Town election cycle cost candidates and their supporters more than $390,000, the bulk of which came from Democratic Party supporters — and from Independence Party candidate David Gruber himself.
