After a three-week investigation into an armed robbery at East Hampton’s Long Island Rail Road station the night of June 12, detectives from the MTA Police Department arrested Frankie Daiozczok on Tuesday, charging him with robbery in the first degree. The crime is classified as a violent felony, with sentencing requirements if convicted of anywhere between 5 to 25 years in state prison. EAST HAMPTON — Jender Chamba-Camacho, 25, was arrested by East Hampton Town Police Sunday evening on misdemeanor DWI charges. It was the second time in five days that Chamba-Camacho was arrested on such charges. On June 25, he was arrested by Southampton Town Police after reportedly crashing off-road into a light post, a point not lost on East Hampton Town Justice Steven Tekulsky during Chamba-Camacho’s arraignment on Monday morning. Suffolk County Sherriff Erron Toulon and County Executive Ed Romaine warned drivers this week that the county will be rolling out a new anti-DWI campaign that will feature stepped-up enforcement of drinking and driving laws and public outreach to discourage drunk driving.
