The ninth annual North Fork Dog Dock Diving Weekend will be held at the Greenport Polo Grounds, a new location for this year, on Saturday and Sunday, June 7 and 8, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days. Seasoned dock-diving dogs, as well as first-time diving dogs are invited to participate. There will be competitions, local vendors, food trucks, music, and plenty of dogs. The Eleanor Whitmore Early Childhood Center will host its annual kick off to summer event “Kites for Kids” on Saturday, May 24, from 2 to 5 p.m. at Main Beach in East Hampton. All proceeds from the family-friendly event for kids of all ages will benefit the center. Each kite costs $12 and may be reserved online at onecau.se/kitesforkids.
