East Hampton Town will ask Suffolk County to swap 7 acres of land adjacent to the Montauk landfill for 7 acres of town-owned parkland elsewhere to allow the town to site a new waste water treatment system next to the dump to service a proposed sewer district for the downtown and harbor regions of the hamlet.
