Susan Ellen Schwartz Rudick of East Hampton died on September 20 at her home. She was 65.
Born February 25, 1944, in Brooklyn to Francis (née Greenberg) and Benjamin Schwartz, she attended Midwood High School in Broooklyn and the University of Buffalo. She earned a master’s degree from Hunter College in New York City. An artist, she worked as a creative consultant, as a teacher, and as a real estate broker for Prudential Douglas-Elliman.
She was a member of the Jewish Center of the Hamptons and was involved with the New York Philharmonic, an artists association on the East End, and the Hamptons International Film Festival.
She is survived by two daughters, Lauren Allison Margaret Rudick, an attorney in New York City, and Dr. Briana Jennifer Rudick of California; a brother, Dr. Robert Schwartz of Islip; her ex-husband, Dr. Donald Rudick; three nieces, Anna, Sara and Laura; and a nephew, Benjamin.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 25, at 11 a.m., at the Jewish Center of the Hamtons in East Hampton. Interment will follow at New Montefiore Cemetery in Farmingdale.
